Samares was founded in 2008 by Sandra Magnani, who has successfully assembled a management team of proven international experience, whose CVs include stints at leading information and communication technology companies. The company immediately made a name for itself through its drive for innovation. The firm's heartbeat is the R&D centre in Navacchio, which is developing an increasingly comprehensive product portfolio to meet the energy market's needs.

In 2011, Atlante Ventures Mezzogiorno, Intesa Sanpaolo bank's venture-capital fund, also identified Samares as one of the most promising, vibrant enterprises in the energy sector and decided to put its faith in us. The resulting 2-million-euro agreement has enabled the company to continue to invest in developing new products and enhancing our existing range.

SANDRA MAGNANI (CEO)
Samares' founder and CEO, Ms Magnani has a degree in information technology from Pisa university. Her long experience in multinational ICT corporations has seen her operate in managerial roles such as VP of the Fixed Communication Group and the Optical Networking Division at Alcatel, Corporate Marketing Senior Director at Cisco Systems, Senior Director Strategic Marketing and Business Management at Marconi, and Director of the Data Communication Division at Olivetti.

ANTONELLA BELTRAME (director)
A graduate of Bocconi university, Milan, Ms Beltrame is a certified accountant and auditor. After starting her career at KPMG, she gained experience in private equity, company valuation and debt restructuring at Sanpaolo Finance S.p.A. She then worked as a Project Manager at Mediocredito Lombardo bank, before moving on to develop her investment expertise at Fidia Sgr S.p.A., the fund management company looking after the Prudentia Private Equity fund, as Analysis and Investment Department Manager. During this time, she has also operated as an Auditor and Director.

BRUNO PAVESI (director)
Mr Pavesi has been Chief Executive of "L. Bocconi" Business University, Milan, since 2007 and sits on the board of various industrial and service companies. Since graduating with distinction from Bocconi university, he has held the position of Managing Director at Honeywell Information Systems Italia S.p.A., Bull Italia S.p.A. and Bticino S.p.A. He has also been CEO at Legrand Italia S.p.A., Zucchini S.p.A. and Fiera Milano Tech S.p.A.
